new world

One day, I decided to take a photograph in Osaka. I wanted to photograph a place called a city. Without thinking too much about it, I started commuting from Kyoto on the Keihan train. Osaka, where you measure distances with your own stride and take photos of them, is different from the Osaka you had known before, offering a raw, life-sized view. I accept things as they are, and take photos over and over again, as if adding color to one spot. The title ``new world'' is the flip side of the atmosphere of boredom that hangs in our current era. However, even so, ``the dog barks, but the caravan moves on.'' The city and its people continue on. In this corner of the world, where I don't know what's ahead or what's behind, I thought that the only hope I could find after this was to surrender to the gravitational pull of ``people living there.'' Really, that's all there is to it.
