Hiiragiya Ryokan Black wall

They do not push out the word "long-established ryokan" nor does it flaunt anecdotes steeped in history. They welcome visitors daily, entertain them individually, and send them on their way. This repetition must be the very breath of the ancient city. I quietly captured each holly leaf standing in the daily life spun in this way, as if scooping it up from the surface of the water.
