Touch a distant place in you

A body researcher once told me that there is a place in the body that is farther away than the universe.
He can treat his hands like feet and feet like hands. He is practicing daily to open up the possibilities of the "body" itself. He says that the potential of the body itself is limited by culture and custom, as when a person is forbidden to grasp something with his or her feet, the feet are limited to the function of walking. What does he mean by "faraway places"? No matter what attributes or labels are attached to our existence, no matter how much we try to explore them with words, there are areas that are unknown even to ourselves. That is why unexpected possibilities may open up when someone touches them.

In this exhibition, 3 artists, Hirotsugu Horii, Mai Narita, and Tatsuki Katayama, attempt to touch things that are visible in our daily lives but overlooked by us with their "transparent hands. It is also an attempt to question how we can reencounter the things we have already encountered, just as we consider the distant places in our bodies.
