Life is spun by overlap of various coincidental events, and the world is formed by overlap of billions of such lives. In this exhibition, the overlap of such lives is expressed in the works of four artists. Noriko Yamaguchi, who traveled to Eastern Europe between her strenuous work to capture people in the cities, then dug up negative film 22 years later and hand-printed it by herself in the darkroom. That process is to confront not only her subjects' lives but also herself. Daisuke Kinoshita, while capturing the riverside scenes, a familiar place for him for taking his family, he thinks of his daughters’ lives as well as those of people passing by. kanamaru. and mappy depict the life of a fictitious person “He” by combining portraits and monochrome snapshots that superimpose multiple images. You can see works of these artists in three sections, both indoors and outdoors. They confront their own or others' lives in their own way, such as platinum prints, gelatin silver prints, inkjet prints. A variety of techniques allow the viewer to feel the "overlap of photographic expressions”. We hope that you can enjoy the overlap of multiple lives from many perspectives.
