The theme is "Multi-perspective occurrence and proliferation." Yakushima Island was registered as a World Natural Heritage site in 1993 for its "unparalleled diversity of vegetation. By deepening our understanding of different values and cultures through the common language of photography, we can gain new perspectives and, like the island's creatures, release and coexist in harmony and the energy of individuality. As one of its initiatives, YPF offers artist-in-residence opportunities that focus on all local resources on the island, where new discoveries and creations are made. This time, we propose to exhibit "Yakushima Blues" by Mauro Mongiello, created in 2017, and "≒ nearly equal" by Tetsuo Kashiwada, created in 2022.
