GRANDFATHER AND I

Kuma

This photo consists of juxtapositions of photographs that I have taken, and photographs that my grandfather, Kazuo Takeda, had taken in his spare time off work over the years. He captured nature in vast landscapes. I saw nature in Tokyo, in its working as a metropolis. I believe that nature is found within our minds - not only in the outer landscape. Nature is created when our minds react to external factors. The deeper you dive, the more you feel nature.
