Mitsuru Hashimoto

It reflects the humans that emerge in the darkness. We photograph and stock people of different generations and departures who are not acquainted with each other. In those stills, each person's way of life and aesthetic sense can be seen and hidden. In an empty black space, each one stands behind the lens, looks back, and receives a sign from us. As the filming progressed, some embodied loneliness, some embodied the brilliance they believed in, and now they are about to become part of a fully digitized art. Information that has not been digitized is hidden in the still that became the work. This is a portrait from 2021 to 2022.
