Travellers Who Lost Words

I’ve spent a fair amount of time on stage. Among theater, music, and photography, theater has been with me the longest.
Theatre is a collective art. Every cue—an actor’s line, a lighting operator’s hand, the stage manager’s timing—must align. The larger the stage, the safer and more perfect it must be.
But I lost interest in that pursuit of perfection. A performance comes alive in moments of accidents, in the gaps no one planned. When lines are forgotten or lights come on too soon, something real begins to breathe.
Photography is no different. I once loved beautiful, well-composed images, but now I cherish the ones slightly out of focus, poorly framed, or uneven in light. Then my fingers refuse to delete them. Perhaps because there is life in it I did not intend.
In that world of imperfection and chance, I find what feels most true.

A small recital by a photographer will be held on April 25.
The artist is active as an actor, musician, and photographer.
The program includes a talk about the exhibition and a guitar performance by the artist.
