A legendary platform’s 20-year odyssey arrives in Kyoto. UR KYOTO is proud to present the "TINYVICES ARCHIVE EXHIBITION," curated by Tim Barber. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of TINYVICES—the legendary website that revolutionized the independent photography scene of the 2000s—UR KYOTO will host an expansive archive exhibition starting April 2026. 20 Years of Visual Wonders: The Global Journey Reaches Its Newest Destination New York-based photographer, curator, and editor Tim Barber has long carved a unique path through the creative landscape. Founded by Barber in 2005, https://www.google.com/search?q=tinyvices.com became a sanctuary for raw, liberated photographic expression—a digital nexus for undiscovered talent from across the globe. Following its acclaimed run in New York in the winter of 2025 and various cities worldwide, this traveling archive exhibition now lands in Japan. The exhibition will be held at UR KYOTO in conjunction with KG+, the satellite program of the Kyotographie International Photography Festival. In this special iteration, the vast archives—personally reconstructed by Barber—will find new life within the cultural and historical crossroads of Kyoto. The exhibition will feature a curated selection of rare archival works for display and sale, offering visitors a chance to trace two decades of a definitive movement in contemporary photography.
