KIYAKU - return to origin

"Prayer dance - return to origin" Artist: Lisa kimura, Kgo kimura, Katsunari Shishido Date: April 12th (Sat) - May 11th (Sun) Location: Now & Then (4F Building, 122-1 Shikiami-cho, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto 604-8261) Kiyaku is a coined word that means moving in prayer and dancing. Prayer means praying and giving thanks, and dance is said to have once been a special act to express people's wishes and prayers. Three artists who have been involved in dance in the past and are currently active in different environments express the dynamic movement of prayer dance, which can be said to be the origin of people, using photographs from their own perspectives. The exhibition will remind visitors of the origins of their souls.
