Hanako Nakane
even if, anyone forget
This work confronts the themes of "attachment" and "absence" through photographs taken over a span of ten years at the artist's grandparents' house. Many of the photographs capture rooms devoid of people, quietly evoking the inevitable absence and changes brought about by the passage of time. For the artist, the grandparents' house is not just a space, but a special place where memories of life were etched, and warm moments once flowed. This exhibition focuses on the emotional connection between people and places, expressing through photography how the memories and attachments we all hold intersect with change and loss. While we cannot resist absence, the work aims to evoke quiet empathy in the hearts of viewers by preserving the memory of the places we have loved.
