This exhibition is a solo exhibition of photographs taken by Sean O’ Connell in the moment. What he sees is what he shoots. He believes that aesthetic beauty is all around us but he tends to be drawn to things that are more mundane or ubiquitous. Beauty can be a matter of perception so mundane or ubiquitous things can be made to look more appealing depending on how it’s shot. Photos can often lack context nor do they depict exact representations of reality which allows them to be creatively interpreted and presented by O’ Connell allowing these mundane representations of reality more attractive, hence “beautiful things don’t ask for attention."
