Sakiko Nomura

Benrido was founded in 1887 (Meiji 20) and established a collotype atelier in 1905 (Meiji 38). Since then, we have been carrying on this classic photographic technique. In 2024, we will celebrate the 120th anniversary of our collotype atelier. We have commissioned photographer Sakiko Nomura to document the current workshop and its craftsmen, and through her collotype prints, we will hold an exhibition that will make their appearance known to the public.
