seisei-setsu-setsu
Tremendous cutting (seisei-setsu-setsu). The word means "extremely lonely," and that is exactly what inspires me to want to take photographs. So far, I have photographed the "Ikejima" coal mine in Japan and the "Thirteenth Layer Ruins" in Taiwan. The evidence of someone's life, forgotten by others and eroded by nature, after having served a great purpose. When I am moved by such beauty that lurks not only in my travels, but in every place I go, my eyes become lenses and I burn it onto film, which is on the verge of extinction. It is easy to switch to digital. However, I still need the particles captured on film. There is an extremely lonely world out there that could not be seen with the naked eye.
