Michiko Kiseki

I began filming in Hong Kong in 2017, when I was struggling with my life path. However, what I witnessed there was the democracy protests. The history, culture, and daily life of the people behind the protests are deeply related. This film captures the front lines of the democracy protests and the people who live there. Then, in 2021, after 14 days of forced hotel quarantine in the COVID-19 disaster, I returned to take photos to the Hong Kong of today.
