K-Youth × KG+ is an international exchange program for emerging photographers, researchers, and practitioners from Japan and South Korea. Through portfolio reviews and symposiums, it creates a space to share the current state of photographic culture, institutions, and practices in both countries, while fostering critical dialogue and future network-building. The program aims to support the next generation of photographic expression and to strengthen connections within photographic culture across East Asia.

In the K-Youth × KG+ Portfolio Exchange, Korean artists will present their works at Horikawa Oike Gallery, while emerging Japanese photographers will participate by bringing their portfolios. Based on both the exhibited works and submitted portfolios, participants will receive feedback from specialists from Japan and abroad, while also engaging in peer reviews with fellow young artists from both countries. The program offers an opportunity to reconsider one’s artistic direction and connect it to future developments. Five emerging Japanese artists selected through the review process are scheduled to participate in a K-Youth group exhibition in South Korea this autumn.
