Talking Photography in Korean — What Does “To Take” Mean?
PURPLE
3F Shikiamicho bldg. 122-1 Shikiamicho, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto
This workshop explores how photography is talked about in Korean, using language as a way to rethink photographic perception. Starting from the word “to take,” the program introduces commonly used Korean expressions related to photography and examines how different linguistic choices reflect different ways of seeing and engaging with images. Rather than a formal language lesson, the session is designed as part of a photography festival, inviting participants to experience photography through another linguistic and cultural lens. No prior knowledge of Korean is required. The workshop is open to anyone interested in photography, visual culture, and cross-cultural perspectives.
