Lives of Flowers
This collective exhibition, of more than 24 artworks, produced by Optim'Art, is oriented around the lives and roles of flowers in our universe. These multiple relays of nature, often essential to the evolution and sustainability of life, are themselves subject to their own life cycles. They must, in addition, participate and actively associate themselves with the cycle of other life genres of nature. Thierry Maindrault has been working for many years around the life of flowers, from their birth to the last moments of their decline. The conceptual constraint continues in the installation of an exchange, without filter, between the readers and the work they discover. Jun Sato presents us with a continuation of his research on matter, on its compositions and on its interactions under graphic choices that he imposes. This new section is part of the graphic impact of living bodies through the abundance of colours that he hierarchizes with light. Hans Silvester takes us on a journey, near the Omo Valley (Ethiopia), to the Surma people, called “the flower people”. After long periods of exchange, the author entered into the intimacy of the dialogue of this people with flowers to survive in their environment. Hans Silvester's photographs are references, through his books and exhibitions, in the various scientific and artistic communities.
