KG+, which will be held for the 13th time in 2025, is an open call art festival held at the same time as KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival, one of the largest international photography festivals in Japan, with the aim of discovering and supporting artists with promising careers in the future. Solo and group exhibitions organised by artists, curators, galleries, museums and educational and cultural institutions, as well as exhibitions by the festival’s sponsors, are held in various locations throughout the city. KG+ is currently accepting entries in two categories: the KG+ category, which is open to a wide range of participants, and the KG+SELECT category, which leads to an exhibition at KYOTOGRAPHIE the following year.
