Ganger AND Kamo
I participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela, held in India in February 2025.
It was one of the largest religious events in the world, attracting 400 million pilgrims to the Ganges River basin.
I was reminded that civilizations have flourished around rivers, so I came up with the idea of comparing it with the Kamo River, Kyoto's most iconic river.
India and Japan are completely different countries in terms of land area, religion, and ethnicity, but I hope that through the activities of living things, including the people who gather near water, people can find an opportunity to feel the small joys that lie hidden in ordinary everyday life.
