Tomokazu Yano

This exhibition is an attempt to reconstruct photography not as a mere visual record, but as “layers of light” that embody the time, memories, and emotions experienced by the artist on site. Traveling throughout Japan, the artist has continually engaged with diverse landscapes, capturing light, wind, and moments that exist only once in time. In this exhibition, photographs are developed into works printed on transparent film and into three-dimensional resin pieces, treating light itself as a material and extending expression beyond the boundaries of flat imagery. Through the experience of not simply viewing the works, but standing within the light, visitors are invited to encounter the artist’s memories and emotions from the journey, and to discover a sense of positive reflection within their own lives. This exhibition presents the traces of an endless journey and artistic pursuit.
