KESHIN ー At the Threshold of Inside and Out ー
KESHIN — The incarnation of gods and buddhas in worldly forms.
I find this phenomenon in all aspects of everyday life.
There are moments I let go of all thought to grasp it.
When I stop my thoughts and try to return to a primitive state of being,
something both within and beyond me appears, accessing my inner divinity.
It may be a selfish endeavor.
The pursuit of a mind beyond thought arises from the impulse to touch divinity through this "self that is not myself."
It’s a paradoxical truth:
The approach to the sacred is rooted in greed,
yet, perhaps the truth lies precisely within this contradiction.
In the attempt to think of nothing, a moment when the inner divine meets the outer comes.
These works are the evidence of that elusive boundary.
