This work presents the photographic process itself—exposure and development—as the artwork, and is an attempt to expand the perception of time.
Within an exhibition space conceived as a darkroom, photographic paper is exposed by a faint ultraviolet light source, gradually forming an image. The image remains perpetually unfinished; it is not segmented into clear temporal boundaries, but instead shifts ambiguously and continuously.
Photography is not merely a medium that captures the present—or a past understood as a single slice of time. It can alter the scale and even the direction of time, giving rise to unintended forms of perception. Such experiences certainly exist outside values defined by clarity and legibility. They may not be directly perceptible, yet they undeniably exist, and this work hopes that their very existence will not be rendered absent or erased.
