Experiments with Light II
Light has always illuminated our world.
In this exhibition, photography no longer points outward,
but turns back upon itself,
gazing at light alone.
There are no landscapes, no figures—
only traces of light left within the space.
Passing through small openings and narrow slits,
light moves slowly forward.
It spreads, overlaps, and separates,
becoming dots, lines, and layers of unfolding color.
At times, it resembles gentle ripples on water;
at others, a fleeting rainbow appearing in the air.
These images are the forms
that light, in a single moment,
chose to leave behind.
Photography, at its origin, is writing with light.
Here, what is written is not an object,
but the presence of light itself.
When we do not rush to understand,
when we simply watch in stillness,
light reveals its softness, its movement,
and a beauty that escapes the grasp of words.
