Drawn by Waves
These photographs are born from my love of the ocean and my awe at nature’s creations. As a surfer, I ride the gift of the moon, the pull of gravity, and the living power of the sea. Every wave reminds me of the beauty it brings, and my hope is to share that beauty with others.
When the tide recedes, each wave leaves behind fleeting marks upon the sand.
Shells, seaweed, and the whisper of wind join in the quiet collaboration, and together they create a special kind of art that exists only for a moment.
I add only shade and color to reveal the hidden grace in these drawings left by the waves.
Nothing is added, nothing removed.
These patterns vanish when the tide returns, each rising swell erasing its own creation. By the time their lines begin to fade, it is my signal to enter the water— to hitch a ride from a wave, and for a moment, become one with it.
