A city is both a reality and a concept.
The cities we inhabit are not made solely of visible buildings and roads. Each city accumulates the memories, unconscious thoughts, dreams, fears, expectations, or traces of those who live there.
In this photo exhibition, photographers from Kyoto and Daegu, attempt to visually express the conceptual aspects of the city through their cameras. Each photographer's work functions like a piece of a mosaic or a fragment of a jigsaw puzzle, aiming to collectively reveal “another facet” of each city. By contrasting the individuality and similarities of these two cities, the exhibition seeks to reexamine what constitutes our shared “memory of the city.”
