Displayed in this exhibition are works born through
the Kansai Hairdressing Awards.
Yet what is presented here is not merely the outcome of “award-winning” pieces.
Hairstylists, photographers, makeup artists, costume designers, and models—
their individual sensibilities intersect,
crystallizing into a single photograph as a moment of expression.
Photography is not simply a means of preserving hair design;
it is a way of making visible the impulses and questions that exist within the hairstylist.
