Ten years have passed since I moved to Higashikawa, Hokkaido. Since the moment I arrived here, guided by water, one thing has remained unchanged.
The three states of water shifting within nature, and the fluidity born of time. Where these axes intersect, a presence emerges that transcends mere sight. In these fleeting expressions woven by the world, I find a profound beauty.
By fixing light onto Washi paper—a material that embraces the water from the air—I attempt to anchor the formless memories of water to this place. It is an act akin to a humble prayer.
