Optical illusion caused by contours.
I juxtapose “what was there” captured in the photograph with “what is here now” placed in front of us.
What appears in the photograph is the evidence of a moment that has already passed.
The ceramic vessel, on the other hand, exists in the present, carrying its weight, texture, and physical presence.
When these two elements occupy the same space,
we find ourselves seeing the past and the present at the same time.
Time no longer appears as a single linear flow,
but as something that rises from the overlap between what has gone and what is here now.
Within this overlap, the act of seeing is revealed not as the mere reception of an object,
but as an experience in which the past and the present coexist simultaneously.
