iseuyu

This exhibition is conceived as an extension of 『Tracing the Shape of Distance』, held in Tokyo and Kyoto in 2023. I am interested in the distances between people, relationships, and existence itself, and I have sought to make these elements visible through the medium of photography.
I focus on the varying intensities and fragilities of the assertions inherent in people and objects, and on the act of forming relationships—the sense of comfort and risk that accompanies contact, and the frustration that emerges within it. In this exhibition, diverse forms of distance, relationship, existence, and contact come into view, while the works influence one another alongside the hotel space and its environment, as well as the actions of the viewers.
