Daido Moriyama

We are pleased to present an exhibition of the latest works by Daido Moriyama.
To witness his work in the present tense is, we believe, a vital photographic act for those of us living in the same era.
His lifelong project ‘Record’ was first published in issues 1–5 between 1972 and 1973, after which it remained dormant for many years.
Revived in 2006, the series has continued to be published to this day.
This exhibition features a selection from the most recent issue, ‘Record No. 63’, alongside works from the ‘Tights’ series—originally produced in the late 1980s and later self-remade by the artist in 2011.
Approximately 40 original prints will be exhibited and available for purchase. A wide selection of signed books will also be offered, including out-of-print photobooks. This exhibition of Record No. 63 will be held exclusively at Aquta KYOTO, the only venue in Japan.
