Panta Rhei

The ancient Greek philosophy of "Panta Rhei"—everything flows—emerges vividly in the shifting landscapes of the Sahara Desert. Once verdant and fertile, this land has transformed into desert, where the Tuareg people now stand at another turning point as they navigate their changing environment and traditions. Through monochrome photography printed on handmade Ise washi paper from Japan, this exhibition creates an intersection of different cultures. Each viewer discovers new meanings through their own experiences and values, and these converging sensibilities expand the possibilities of our interconnected world. In the Sahara's eternal flow, we encounter the dignity of what remains unchanged, the understanding of transformation, the poignancy of loss, and promise of creation. These elements inspire us to discover our own paths to fulfillment and awaken the courage to move forward together, united in our shared humanity.
