Master of Fine Arts Photography and Image-making Degree Show, Kyoto University of the Arts, Arts Major Correspondence Program
After the COVID-19 pandemic, the Master's Course in Photography and Image-making Field, Department of Art, Kyoto University of the Arts was newly established. This exhibition features the graduation projects of 14 members from the program’s inaugural class. Through expressions pursued individually as artists, the exhibition vividly highlights diverse aspects of contemporary society. It presents three interconnected themes: "Landscapes Transformed by Human Life," "New Relationships Fostered by Portraits," and "Expanding Perception through Photographic and Imaging Devices." These themes weave together an awareness of issues that link society and the individual. The collection of works, completed through shared learning and mutual inspiration, represents not only the culmination of two years of study but also a bold challenge that poses new questions to contemporary society. With its rich variety of perspectives and sharp insights, this exhibition serves as a new beacon of light for understanding our times.
