How do you describe Shitsurai?
A place that has its own individuality. Artists place their works there. The space and objects resonate with each other to create a new space.
It resonates with the visitors at the space. Objects resonate with echoes of new things,space and humankind. Individually, each one is a small thing. But small things
resonate with each other and spread out into the world.
Rather than exhibiting, they are creating harmony with their works.
By going back to the source, we seek what Shitsurai is all about once again.
Therein lies the clue to weaving a world that seems to be falling apart back into wholeness.
Out of the churning of tradition and innovation, the illusion of progress surfaces, but only one thing stays constant: we use technology to create a prototype of reality.
But this link eventually frays and falls to tatters like a thin veil, all that can be captured is a hint, a slice, a moment too small to bear significance to what lies beyond the reach of any of us. But in this
unpredictable collapse of creativity and nature exists a spark.

In this exhibition five artists present their photo-installations to reveal something beyond this veneer of the real,
to change their perspective on the limits of their medium, to make images that create relationships, that reveal processes, that remove the frame that defines the boundary between artwork and the viewer.
