I created this work while confronting my own thanatophobia. At a time when we were threatened by COVID-19 and it seemed like everything could disappear at any moment, I attempted to capture a dream-like sensation in a real moment, recreating it like a revolving lantern, and extend my sense of self forever. It's almost as if I was seeking salvation. Dreamy and surreal, but somehow real. These photographs depict a world that feels like it's in the gap between dream and reality.
