You are not I.
You are not I.34 years ago, when I was 17 years old, I heard a woman say these words, and these words have remained in the corner of my memory ever since.t was the opening sound of Sarah Driver's film of the same name.I haven't seen the movie yet, and I don't know the circumstances under which this phrase was coined, but it gives me some courage. You are not I.That means you are not the same as me. This fact gives value to all expressions, and is the basis for giving photographers their photographic vision. To me, photography is eternal objectivity, and deep within the silence born from a relationship that never crosses paths lies a violent wildness. That fact is oddly interesting.I don't seek a broad perspective in my photographs, but I hope to shed some light on the meaning of human existence by looking at something deeper.
