Light and ....

Humans live with light, and photography also exists alongside light. This exhibition features photographers who have created distinctive works from the perspective of “living with light.” Aya has been producing works under the consistent theme of “somewhere in time.” Starting from the presence or absence of familiar people, her work explores a world of “unseen familiarity,” where what should be familiar feels as if it is being encountered for the first time. In contrast, TANABE is a photographer who captures the natural landscapes of Japan. While her worldview is orthodox, her photographs evoke a sense of floating, as if one were in an unknown place. Shiori takes yet another approach. Her works explore the relationship between photography and words, connecting abstractly captured landscapes with the memories of each viewer, presenting a world that occasionally feels like a small journey. The curation is handled by photographer and artist Takeshi Sumi, who presents a harmonious world where these works resonate with one another.
