Murota Izumi

Since his early days, Izumi Murota has created works that use photographs of rock concerts and other materials as silkscreens and inkjet prints to express an energetic live feeling with vivid colors. In recent years, I have also been pursuing works that connect the self and the present using blue expressions using the cyanotype process. Cyanotype is a method in which cloth or paper coated with a photosensitive liquid is exposed to light, and the exposed areas turn blue.It was previously used for architectural drawings, and is also called a blueprint or blueprint. In this exhibition, we will introduce the unique world where photography and dyeing intersect by tracing the trajectory of Izumi Murota's artistic expression, who has consistently worked on dyeing expressions using photography as a medium.
