Utsuroi
Under the state of emergency of COVID-19 in 2020, she lived in upstate New York without leaving her home. In the early morning, she collected water lily flowers from the lake, took them back to the darkroom, and created images using a technique called photogram. It is a method of placing the subject directly on a large format film. Utsuroi means a gradual and inevitable change from one state to another, suggesting that nothing is reliable and that everything is ephemeral.
