Have you ever found yourself deeply intrigued after hearing directly from an artist or curator?
Art involves a form of exchange that cannot always be put into words. Still, through language, we try to deepen that experience or approach its essence.

KG+ MEETING POINT is a small gathering where you can encounter artworks in a setting different from a traditional exhibition. Held at local cafés and restaurants in Kyoto, it offers an opportunity to share food and drinks with the artist while talking about their creative process and works. A single point of connection that may become part of a larger thread.

● April 27, 15:00–16:30
Participating Artist: Takeshi Sumi
Capacity: 8 participants
Venue: node hotel (461 Tominokoji-dori, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan)
Fee: One drink order required

Takeshi Sumi is a photographer who explores what lies beyond the visible surface by altering the photographic medium—piercing holes, cutting slits, or intervening with embroidery.
This time, his exhibition features portraits embroidered with thread. In this session, he hopes to share his artistic intentions and insights discovered through the process of creation, in conversation with participants.
