Beloved Alternative Processes Produced by Roonee 247 Fine Arts
Benrido Collotype Gallery
302 Benzaiten-cho, Nakagyoku, 604-0093 Kyoto, Japan
A photography exhibition showcasing an eternal story of gratitude and prayers, woven through the blessings of the land and the lives of people rooted in both Japan and France. The exhibition features works printed using alternative processes such as heliogravure, photogravure, platinum printing, and collotype. Although the works are displayed in frames, this event offers an opportunity to view unframed prints while discussing the artworks and the artists’ passion for their respective printing processes. On April 13 and April 19, the event will feature a special guest, Fanny Boucher, a copperplate engraving artist who was one of the exhibitors at the 2017 "French Living National Treasures" exhibition at the National Art Center, Tokyo. She has been recognized as a Maître d'Art, the French equivalent of a Living National Treasure, and will share insights into the beauty of heliogravure.
