Workshop on multiple exposures
ONE AND ONLY
527 Koiyama-cho, Nakagyo-ku, KYOTO 604-8163 JAPAN
APPLYDouble exposure is a photographic technique that captures two different scenes on a single frame of film, producing images that resemble inner or emotional landscapes. This workshop invites you to experiment with this method and create your own photographic artwork.
Guiding the workshop are a parent-child duo — a father who works as a designer and his university student daughter who is pursuing a career in design. As near-beginners themselves, they will lead the session from a fresh and relatable perspective. Even if you’re unfamiliar with photography, please feel free to join us empty-handed. Let’s take this opportunity to experience analog cameras together.
We’ll begin by simulating the process using a smartphone app, then head out to shoot with an analog camera — each participant will take one photo. Since analog film takes a few days to develop, the finished photograph will be printed on quarter-plate size paper (254mm × 305mm) and mailed to you at a later date. For those interested, we also offer an optional acrylic mounting (framing) service for an additional ¥2,500.
