Transition from Found Object Performance to Photogram
lulu kyoto HOSTEL|SPACE
京都市中京区二条油小路町270-1
APPLYThis workshop is inspired by Jocelyn Lui’s project, ‘Fragmentation 4745,’ where she transformed feelings of disconnection into healing through the creative process. Jocelyn will guide us through her journey, from found object as performance art to creating photograms, and how working with fragments—from arranging objects to exposing them to light—helped her process emotions and find meaning. We’re also joined by Zoe, a counselor specializing in creative therapies, who will help us explore the therapeutic side of this process. Together, they’ll show us how art can be a powerful tool for reflection, self-expression, and emotional healing.
Workshop Overview
1. Learn Photograms: Jocelyn will explain the technique and share insights from her project.
2. Select Objects: Choose meaningful objects that represent fragments of your story.
3. Create: Hands-on photogram creation, guided by Jocelyn, with reflections from Zoe.
4. Reflect & Share: Discuss your creations, the emotions they evoke, and the healing process.
The Healing Power of Photograms Photograms allow us to explore life’s fragments—memories, emotions, and experiences—and turn them into something meaningful. With Jocelyn’s artistic insight and Zoe’s therapeutic guidance, this workshop is about more than creating art—it’s about reconnecting with yourself and finding healing through creativity. Let’s begin this journey of light, shadow, and self-discovery!
