To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the “KG＋SELECT Award” in 2024, a photobook has beenco-produced with Sigma Corporation. This book compiles the subsequent activities and recent works of past award winners. This book is an inspirational guide for established and emerging photographers looking to navigate the next stages of their career.
The KG＋ Award was launched in 2015 and was renamed the KG＋SELECT Award in 2019. Each year, a specialist jury chooses one winner who is offered a place in the coveted Main Program of KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival the following edition.

Over the past decade, the program has become a renowned pathway for photographers to reach global audiences, enabling them to create new photobook publications, hold exhibitions around the world, and feature in domestic and international media. This book presents the works of past award winners, including their award-winning pieces and more recent works, reflecting on their artistic journeys. It also includes an extensive interview with the directors of KYOTOGRAPHIE and KG＋, alongside contributions from Mariko Takeuchi (writer and critic) and Pascal Beausse (curator). This book is an inspirational guide for established and emerging photographers looking to navigate the next stages of their career.
